Meet Marian Levitt
“The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members.” -Coretta Scott King
I still pinch myself each and every day because I get to live in one of the most beautiful communities in Orange, Broadmoor Park. As a fellow homeowner and owner of HORSE&HOME REALESTATE it is my highest honor to work alongside special community members. It is a delight for me to highlight to legendary MARIAN LEVITT, also known as “The (Beautiful) Witch of Broadmoor!” I am honored to share a little about the impact Marian has made in our community over the past 48 years.
At 94 years old, Marian Levitt is an iconic Orange Park Acres resident and beloved member of the community. She is the original owner of her Broadmoor home on Appaloosa which was built in 1977, where she and her late husband Neil Levitt raised four beautiful children. They enjoyed many years as active and impactful community members.
Marian’s most cherished tradition is dressing up as the “Witch Of Broadmoor” every Halloween. She is an iconic part of the Halloween spirit in the neighborhood and greatly enjoyed dressing up, passing out candy to the children, including mine. She created lasting memories and shared her joy filled wisdom. Beyond her fame for creating holiday magic, Marian also contributed to our community by working as a bilingual elementary school teacher for 66 years where she helped generations of children learn and grow.
Marian’s impact embodies the priceless value that individuals can add to our community. In honor of her decades of community spirit she was named Parade Marshall of the 4th of July Parade. We are thankful for all the time, energy, and love Marian poured into our neighborhood. One resident says of Marian, “She wrote beautiful poetry for us ladies in the Broadmoor Garden Club. She always looked for the best in people!!!”
Marian has recently relocated to a beautiful
Spanish style residence at Crestavilla in Laguna Niguel where she enjoys daily activities such as happy hour, live entertainment, art classes, swimming and more. She is one busy woman with her friends and Partner, Herb! Marian brought her gifts, talents and her holiday spirit with her and of course she recently won the Halloween contest in her new community. In true fashion, Marian is making tons of friends and building quite the reputation for her great dance moves at happy hour. While she misses her Broadmoor family, she’s having the time of her life!
At HORSE&HOME REALESTATE we are honored to spotlight the wonderful members of our community that make our communities so special.
